II Peter
1:1 Simon Peter, a slave and an Apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious Faith with us through the righteousness of Elohim and our Savior Jesus Christ:1:2 Grace and Peace be multiplied to you through the knowledge of Elohim, and of Jesus our LORD,1:3 According as his divine power has given to us all things that pertain to Life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that has called us to glory and virtue:1:4 Whereby are given to us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these you might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.1:5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your Faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;1:6 And to knowledge self-control; and to self-control patience; and to patience godliness;1:7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness Love.1:8 Because if these things are in you and abound, they make you that you will neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our LORD Jesus Christ.1:9 But he that lacks these things is blind, and cannot see in the distance, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins.1:10 Therefore brethren, give diligence to make your calling and Election sure: for if you do these things, you will never fall:1:11 For so richly will be super-added to you the entrance into the Age- Lasting Reign of our LORD and Savior Jesus Christ.1:12 Therefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though you know them, and are established in the present Truth.1:13 Yes, I think it virtuous, as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up by putting you in remembrance;1:14 Knowing that shortly I must put off this my tabernacle, even as our LORD Jesus Christ has showed me.1:15 Moreover I will endeavor that you may be able after my death to have these things always in remembrance.1:16 Because we have not followed cleverly devised fables, when we made known to you the power and advent of our LORD Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty.1:17 For he received from YHWH Elohim the Father honor and glory, when there came such a Voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.1:18 And this Voice that came from the cosmos we heard, when we were with him in the holy mountain.1:19 We have also a more firm Word of Prophecy; which you would do well to take heed of, as unto a candle that shines in a dark place, until the breaking of day, and the morning star arises in your hearts:1:20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the Scripture is of any private interpretation.1:21 For prophecy came not in former times by the will of human beings: but holy human beings of Elohim spoke as they were prompted by the Sacred Spirit.
2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who secretly will bring in destructive sects, even denying the LORD that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.2:2 And many will follow their destructive ways; by reason of whom the way of Truth will evil be spoken of.2:3 And in greedy desire, with feigned words, of you they will make merchandise, whose judgment of old is not idle, and their destruction does not slumber.2:4 Because if Elohim spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to Tartarus, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be guarded until Judgment;2:5 And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the 8th person, a herald of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;2:6 And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an example for those that intend to live ungodly;2:7 But delivered righteous Lot, vexed with the licentious conduct of the lawless:2:8 (For that righteous man living among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous life from day to day with their unlawful deeds;)2:9 The LORD knows how to deliver the pious out of trials, and to reserve the unrighteous for the Day of Judgment to be punished:2:10 But especially them that walk after the flesh in the lust of defilement, and despise dominion. Presumptuous they are, self-willed, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.2:11 Whereas angels, that are greater in power and might, bring not railing accusation against them before the LORD.2:12 But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and will utterly perish in their own corruption.2:13 About to receive a reward of unrighteousness, pleasures counting the luxury in the day, spots and blemishes, luxuriating in their deceits, feasting with you.2:14 Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable lives: an heart they have exercised with greedy desire; cursed children.2:15 That have forsaken the right way and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness,2:16 but was rebuked for his wickedness, the dumb donkey speaking with a man's voice prevented the insanity of the interpreter of oracles.2:17 These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a whirlwind; to whom the Blackness of Darkness is reserved for the ages.2:18 For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much licentiousness, those who had truly escaped from those conducting themselves in error.2:19 While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the slaves of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is reduced to bondage.2:20 Because if after they have escaped the defilement of the world through the knowledge of the LORD and Savior Jesus Christ, if they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse for them than the first.2:21 Because it would have been better for them not to have known The Way of Righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the Holy Commandment delivered to them.2:22 But it is happened to them according to the true proverb, The dog has turned to his own vomit again; and the pig that was washed to her wallowing in the dung.
3:1 This second letter beloved, I now write to you; in both that I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance:3:2 That you may be mindful of the Words that were spoken before by the Holy Prophets, and of the command from the Apostles that came via our LORD and Savior:3:3 Knowing this first, that there will come in the Last Days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,3:4 and saying, where is the promise of his coming? for since the forefathers died, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.3:5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the Word of Elohim the universe existed long ago, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water,3:6 through which the ancient world, by water having been deluged was destroyed.3:7 But the universe and the earth, presently by the same Word are kept in store, are reserved for fire against the Day of Judgment and the utter destruction of ungodly men.3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the LORD as 1000 years, and 1000 years as one day.3:9 The LORD is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is patient toward us, not willing that any should be destroyed, but that all should come to a change of mind.3:10 But the Day of the LORD will come as a thief in the night; in which the universe will pass away with a loud noise, and the elements shall dissolve with fervent heat, the earth also and the enterprises that are in it will be burned up.3:11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons should you be in all Sacred conduct and godliness,3:12 Looking for and rushing for the coming of the Day of Elohim, when the universe being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements will liquefy with fervent heat?3:13 We nevertheless, according to His promise, look for a New Universe and a New Earth where righteousness dwells.3:14 Therefore, beloved, seeing that you look for such things, be diligent that you may be found of him in peace, spotless and blameless.3:15 And account that the forbearance of our LORD is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given to him has written to you about;3:16 As also in all his letters, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, that they that are unlearned and unstable twist, as they do also the other Scriptures to their own destruction.3:17 You therefore, beloved, seeing you know these things before, beware unless you also, being led away with the error of the lawless, fall from your own firm condition.3:18 But grow in Grace, and in the knowledge of our LORD and Savior Jesus Christ. To him is glory both now and for the ages. Amen.
