I Peter
1 Peter, an Apostle of Jesus Christ, to the foreigners scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,1:2 Elect according to the foreknowledge of YHWH Elohim the Father, through consecration of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace to you, and peace be multiplied.1:3 Blessed is the Elohim and Father of our LORD Jesus Christ, that according to his abundant mercy has begotten us again to a lively expectation by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,1:4 to an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fades not away, reserved in the cosmos for you.1:5 Who are guarded by the power of Elohim through Faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the End-Time.1:6 In which you are glad, a little now, if it is necessary, being made to sorrow in manifold trials.1:7 That the testing of your Faith, being much more precious than of gold that perishes, though it is tested with fire, might be found unto praise and honor and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:1:8 Whom, not having seen, you love, in whom, now not seeing and believing, you are glad with joy unspeakable and glorified,1:9 receiving the end of your Faith, even the preservation of your lives.1:10 Of which salvation the Prophets have inquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the Grace that should appear to you:1:11 Searching in regard to what or what mode of time the Spirit of Christ that was in them was manifesting, testifying beforehand the sufferings of Christ and the glory that would follow.1:12 To whom it was revealed, that not for themselves, but for us they did attend upon those things that are now reported to you by them that have announced the Good News by the Sacred Spirit sent down from the cosmos. Which things the angels desire to look into.1:13 Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the Grace that is carried to you by the manifestation of Jesus Christ;1:14 As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:1:15 But as he that has called you is Holy, so you become Holy in all manner of conduct;1:16 Because it is written, You become Holy; because I am Holy.1:17 And if you call on the Father, who without respect of persons judges according to every person's undertaking, pass the time of your sojourning here in reverence for one's Husband:1:18 Having known that, not with corruptible things, silver or gold, were you ransomed from your useless manner of life, handed down to you from your ancestors.1:19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and spotless:1:20 Who truly was predetermined before the laying down of the universe, but was made known in these Last Times for you,1:21 Who through him are believers in Elohim, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your Faith and hope might be in Elohim.1:22 Seeing you have cleansed your lives in obeying the Truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned Love of the brethren, see that you welcome one another with a clean heart fervently:1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the Word of Elohim, that lives and remains for the ages.1:24 Because all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withers, and the flower thereof falls down:1:25 But the Word of the LORD remains for the ages. And this is the Word that by the Good News is announced to you.
1 Therefore laying aside all malice, and all deceit, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all defamation,2:2 as newborn infants, desire the unmixed milk of the Word, that you may grow by it:2:3 If indeed you have tasted that the LORD is good.2:4 To whom coming, as unto a living stone [Urim-Thummim], rejected indeed of men, but chosen of Elohim, and prized,2:5 You also, as lively stones [Urim-Thummim], are built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to Elohim by Jesus Christ.2:6 Therefore also it is contained in the Scripture, See, I place in Zion an outmost corner stone [Urim-Thummim] , picked out by Elohim, prized: and he that is persuaded on him will not be put to shame.2:7 Unto you therefore that believe he is prized: but to them that are disobedient, the stone that the restorers rejected, the same appears in history as the head of the internal corner [secret place of the Urim- Thummim],2:8 And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of snaring to them that strike against the Word, refusing to believe, to which also they were set.2:9 But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a sacred association, a people for Elohim's own possession; that you should publish the goodness of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous Light:2:10 Who in former times were not a group, but at present are the group of Elohim: that had not obtained mercy, but at present have obtained mercy.2:11 Dearly esteemed, I exhort you as foreigners and strangers, refrain from fleshly lusts, that war against the body;2:12 Having your conduct suitable among the Gentiles: that whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, that they will see, magnify Elohim in the Day of Inspection.2:13 Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the LORD's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme.2:14 Or to governors, as to them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that act rightly.2:15 For so is the will of Elohim, that with well doing you may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men:2:16 As freeborn, but not using your liberty for a cloak of depravity, but as the slaves of Elohim.2:17 Honor all men, Love the brotherhood, Venerate Elohim, Honor the king.2:18 Slaves, be subject to your masters with all fear; not only to the good and fair, but also to the unfair.2:19 For this is gracious, if because of conscience toward Elohim anyone does endure sorrows, suffering unjustly.2:20 For what praise is it, if when you are maltreated for your faults, you will take it patiently? but if, when you do well and suffer for it, you take it patiently, this affords joy with Elohim.2:21 Because to this you were called, because Christ also did suffer for you, leaving to you an example that you may follow his steps.2:22 Who did no sin, neither was deceit found in his mouth:2:23 Who, when he was abused, abused not in return; when he suffered, he threatened not; but he was committed to him that judges righteously:2:24 Who his own self carried our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being removed from sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose wounds you were healed.2:25 Because you were as sheep going astray; but are now returned to the Shepherd and guardian of your lives.
1 Equally you women, be in subjection to your own husbands; that if any obey not the Word, they also may without the Word be spared by the conduct of the women;3:2 while they observe your chaste conduct coupled with fear.3:3 Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of the braiding of hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of garments;3:4 But let it be the hidden person of the heart, in what is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, that is in the sight of Elohim of great price.3:5 For thus once also the Holy women who did hope on Elohim, were adorning themselves, being subject to their own husbands.3:6 Even as Sara obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: whose daughters you are, as long as you do good and are not afraid with any terror.3:7 Equally you husbands, live with them according to knowledge, giving honor to the woman, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being fellow heirs together of the Grace of Life; that your prayers be not cut off.3:8 Finally, be all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be tender hearted and kind:3:9 Not rendering bad for bad, or railing for railing: but on the contrary blessing; knowing that you are among the called, that you should inherit a blessing.3:10 For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from bad, and his lips that they speak no deceit:3:11 Let him turn away from bad and do good; let him seek harmony and reach for the goal.3:12 Because the eyes of the LORD are over the righteous, and his ears are open to their prayers: but the face of the LORD is against them that do bad.3:13 And who is he that will harm you, if you are imitators of what is good? 3:14 But if you should also suffer because of righteousness, happy are you! and of their fear be not afraid, nor be troubled.3:15 But consecrate the LORD Elohim in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to everyone that asks you a reason for the hope that is in you with meekness and reverence:3:16 Having a good conscience; so that those that incriminate you as malefactors, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conduct in Christ.3:17 For it is better, if the will of Elohim is so, that you suffer for doing good than for doing evil.3:18 Because Christ also has once suffered for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to Elohim, being put to death in the flesh, but resurrected by the Spirit:3:19 By which also he went and proclaimed to the spirits in prison;3:20 that formerly were disobedient, when once the patience of Elohim waited in the days of Noah, while the Ark was being prepared, wherein few, that is 8 lives were saved through the water.3:21 Also to which an antitype does now save us, baptism, (not a putting away of the filth of flesh, but the question of a good conscience in regards to Elohim,) through the rising again of Jesus Christ,3:22 who is gone into the cosmos and is on the right hand of Elohim; angels and authorities and powers being made subject to him.
1 Christ then, having suffered for us in the flesh, you also with the same mind arm yourselves, because he who did suffer in the flesh has put away sin.4:2 That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of Elohim.4:3 For the time already past of our lives may suffice us to have accomplished the precepts of the pagans, when we walked in unbridled lust, cravings, excess of wine, partying, carousing, and illicit worship of false elohim:4:4 Whereas they think it strange that you run not with them to the same excess of abandon, speaking evil of you:4:5 Who will give account to him that is ready to judge the living and the deceased.4:6 Because the Good News for this purpose was announced also to them that are now dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to Elohim in the spirit.4:7 But the end of all things approaches: be therefore sober and watch with prayer.4:8 And above all things have earnest good will among yourselves: for Love will cover the multitude of sins.4:9 Be hospitable one to another without murmuring.4:10 As everyone has received the gift, even so attend the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold Grace of Elohim.4:11 If anyone speaks, let him speak as The Divine Oracle [Urim-Thummim] of Elohim. If anyone serves, let them do it with the ability that Elohim supplies: that Elohim in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be judgment and dominion for the ages of ages. Amen.4:12 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the calamities that are to prove you, as though some strange thing happened to you:4:13 But rejoice, inasmuch as you are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that when his glory will be revealed, you may be glad also with exceeding joy.4:14 If you are reproached for the Name of Christ, happy are you; for the spirit of glory and of Elohim rests upon you: for on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.4:15 But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other people's matters.4:16 Still if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify Elohim on this behalf.4:17 Because the time has come that judgment must begin at the House of Elohim: and if it first begins with us, what will the end be for those that obey not the Good News of Elohim?4:18 And if the righteous scarcely are saved, where will the ungodly and the sinner appear?4:19 Therefore let them that suffer according to the purpose of Elohim entrust the keeping of their lives to him in well doing, as to a faithful Creator.
1 The elders that are among you I exhort, who am also a fellow elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also an associate of the glory that will be revealed:5:2 Feed the flock of Elohim that is among you, taking the care of, not by force, but willingly; not by eagerness for base gain, but willingly;5:3 Neither as exercising lordship over Elohim's heritage, but being figures to the flock.5:4 And when the chief Shepherd will appear, you will receive a crown of glory that fades not away.5:5 Likewise, you younger, submit yourselves to the elder. Yes, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for Elohim resists the proud and gives Grace to the humble.5:6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of Elohim, that he may exalt you in due time:5:7 Throwing all your anxiety upon him; for he cares about you.5:8 Be sober, be watchful; because your adversary the Devil, as a roaring lion walks about, seeking whom he may swallow up:5:9 Who resist immovable in the Faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the cosmos.5:10 But the Elohim of all Grace, who has called us to his Age-Lasting Glory by Christ Jesus, after that you have suffered awhile, renders you complete, establish, strengthen and settle you.5:11 To him be glory and dominion for the ages of the ages. Amen.5:12 By Silvanus, a faithful brother to you, as I suppose, I have written briefly, exhorting, and testifying that this is the true Grace of Elohim wherein you stand.5:13 The ekklesia that is at Babylon, elected together with you, welcomes you; and so does Marcus my son.5:14 Greet one another with a kiss of brotherly Love (Agape). Peace be with you all that are in Christ Jesus. Amen.
